Agreements

What the two agreements say

The retainer agreement

  • The scope of phase one and what you receive
  • The fee, how it is billed and what is credited toward the build
  • The schedule for the drawings
  • What you may take with you if you don't build with us
  • How either of us can end it

The build agreement

  • The drawings and specifications it builds from
  • The price, with allowances listed by item and what is left out
  • The payment schedule, tied to stages of the work
  • How changes are priced and approved
  • Permits, insurance certificates and the site plan
  • The warranty: its terms, limits and exclusions are in the written warranty

Both agreements are written in plain language, and we go through them with you before you sign. Take them to a lawyer if you like.
